GAME OF THRONES IS OVER!!! I wanted to say something witty but my fellow brown dude in radio Shil said it best, "Game of Thrones was a lot of white people making bad decisions that led to lots of people dying so I give it an A+ for accuracy" I couldn't agree more.

What did you think of the ending? I loved it, yes it was a bit rushed but seeing how the Starks ended up was the sweet sweet sauce. Pour one out for Rob, Grey Wind, Summer and Lady. AND BIG UPS TO DROGON for melting down the symbol of evil that perpetuated this whole story in the 1st place. ALSO my favorite human character, Bran Stark ended up being the most important person in Game of Thrones. Like I said since season one, everyone else is in a movie while Bran is questing Final Fantasy style. In fact one of my favorite scenes is when Jon Snow starts apologizing that he was not there for Bran and Bran hits him with "you were where you were supposed to be" in reference to when Bran could have revealed himself to Jon but didn't so he could continue his quest on becoming the three eyed raven. Tears sun, tears.

New Noize will not be ending and I must say I killed it this past weekend. I am LOVING both Amon Tobin & Holly Herndon full lengths. METZ aka one of Keanu Reeves favorite bands (mine to Neo) is coming out with a b-sides/rarities album and we are all better for it. And yes party people I went against the sage advice of Guitar Center policy and played Mastodon's cover of "Stairway to Heaven" <---(for those who are too young or not down this is a reference to Wayne's World)

Welcome party people to the weekly New Noize update. I hope you enjoy this week's offering in new music. Highlights include Mac DeMarco full length (I actually went deep and played one of the "sillier" songs) & Holly Herndon's full length "PROTO " If you like experimental yet cohesive music, Holly Herndon's you girl. Amon Tobin new album is pretty amazing as well as off the wall but this weeks cake goes to Flylo's new track "More". Why? Quick Game of Thrones rant. I have issues with people commenting on this specific show, especially the last 2 episodes. Much like albums, YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE WHOLE THING BEFORE COMING OUT WITH YOUR OPINION. If I just based my opinion on a band based on 1 or 2 singles they put out rather than their body of work, then what kind of critic am I? I would be doing a disservice to any label trying to promote a band based on 1 single. Yes thats how the “game” goes but anyone who has worked with me over the past 11 years knows that I am a “breaker of the wheel”. All these people talking trash on the writers is amazing to me. They have been translating George's books and now have branched off doing their own thing. YES I am a fan of Full Metal Alchemist and thought it was just as good as Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. I personally loved "the bells" episode and look forward to the this Sunday's finale as well as this Sundays New Noize. Or maybe I just have really REALLY bad taste. Too bad for you cause I pick all these songs and come next week I will be dropping another New Noize.

New beginning can only come from things ending. 2 more episodes of Game of Thrones & Avengers End Game have marked years of investments from our human collective into these fictitious parallel dimensional spaces which serves no real purpose except for entertainment.

Then there are "eternal" cycles which humans, regardless of age/civilization, that we collectively participate in. Today marks the 1st day of fasting in the Holy Month of Ramadan. A swatch of humans that call themselves "Muslims" participate in this motion for 30 days. Muslims do this for a myriad of personal reasons but the fact remains they all participate in some sort of capacity. So to ALL MY HUMANS both Muslim and non-Muslim Ramadan Kareem.

Another weekly gathering of humans happened this past Sunday and every Sunday (give or take a few Sundays) here in Santa Barbara, we call it New Noize! Since I was in Chicago last week I had to pack a 2 weeks worth of new music into 2 hours. This would be a no brainer BUT SO MUCH STUFF CAME OUT this was a bit difficult. FYI I had 5 hours of music on my master sheet before I cut it down to 2 hours. The result is what you see above, a sporadic machine gun offering of different genres cascading all over your system blasting you every which way. As soon as it gets a bit cohesive it zaps into a space you weren't prepped for. Basically be in a vulnerable state while listening to the latest 2 hour mix.
