6. Good Humor x RZA: A New Ice Cream Truck Jingle for a New Era (but no worries, I got you below)

This weekend we had a fire tornado in California. Let me be very explicit on what this is as it was described to me. This isn't a tornado that "caught on fire" as it passed over a fire on the ground, OH NO. It is a tornado that forms from a fire cloud. WTF is a fire cloud? It apparently does not happen often, but its a thing. 2020 just keeps uppercutting our collective chins.

Yes there was New Noize this week and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in the game that played RZA's new take on the ice cream jingle we all run to when we hear that truck outside. Good Humor Ice Cream partnered with the Abbot of the Wu-Tang Clan to create and distribute this new music for free for the rest of its existence. Learn more about the history of this specific piece of music here and let's flex on this kind of change.

See ya next Sunday.

Hey all! This week's New Noize is especially eclectic, we went everywhere. From the shores of french metal to the mountain tops of ratchet based tracks and the valleys of indie rock this week had it all. I had to call in a number of flavors of this week's all star playlist, thanks to all who helped. I seriously love our industry and hope live music will be a thing again. Until that time, wear a mask

I'll catch you next week.

Humans make me confused. I mean can we all just wear masks so BORIS can fly from Japan do shows here in the USA. What's not confusing is New Noize. I hope you dig this week's playlist.

Real quick there is a collab record between George Clanton And Nick Hexum and its the perfect summer album. Clanton's vapor wave style with 311's frontman voice makes way too much sense not to have happened already. I'll be honest, this made my head scratch when I first saw this in my inbox, but luckily I was sent an advance of the whole record which I proceeded to download to my ipod(yes I still use an ipod) while making my way to the beach this weekend. It was one of the better decisions I made in 2020.

See you next week.

So this week's New Noize looks a bit short right? It's not I assure you. This is what happens when you have 4 songs that clock way over the 7+ minute mark. Enjoy it and as always I will be back next Sunday.
