Ok what a week. We are in the middle of the holy month of Ramadan, it was Passover & Easter all on a full moon. I scored a PS5 and got a new oled TV so I may be going through my midlife crises right now. IT IS GORGEOUS and this is gonna be an indoor summer for me.

This past week I got to see 3 bands, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard at the Arlington this past Wednesday, CRUMB on Thursday at Soho & Cannons at Soho on Saturday night. Who needs Coachella!

This past Sunday's New Noize was solid as always.

The New Noize Album of the Week goes to Jerry Paper's latest release on Stones Throw, "Free Time". It's fun, funky and is almost as weird as I am, almost.

New Noize Song of the Week goes to Built to Spill with "Gonna Lose". the bar is set high after this singles release and I await the full lenght with great anticipation

I'll see you cats next Sunday.

WHAT A FRIDAY. So many dang records came out it was truly an onslaught of new music & I for one love to bask in the aftermath. Sunday's New Noize set was truly one of the best of 2022 since there was so much to choose from, which also means that I had to cut a ton. It stressed me out all week, trust that.

Album of the Week could have been anything on the playlist and normally I would only pick 1 BUT since it's my show imma pick 3 Album(s) of the Week.

Father John Misty released "Chloë and the Next 20th Century" and it hits just right. It is not a departure from his sound, but it is different from anything he has released previously yet has a touch of familiarity that is undeniably Josh Tilman. Drink some wine, grab your partner, hold 'em close while you dance in the dark as this spins on your turntable.

Wet Leg FINALLY dropped this highly anticipated self titled release. IT IS AMAZING and will probably be on every music outlet's top 5 best albums of 2022 and for good reason, it rules. This record encompuses everything I love about this sound. It has a sense of self, makes light of all subject matters and they cuss on every track like a teenager from Elizabeth New Jersey.

Jack White is back with "Fear of the Dawn '' This guy out here doing whatever he wants. He released his album on baseball's opening day, played a crazy version of the national anthem on opening day at Comerica Park (Tiger stadium in Detroit, where he is from) then played a show later that night in the D and got married live on stage to Oliva Jean officiated by Ben Swank! The album is all over the place, aggressive AF and just straight up FUN. Fear of the Dawn is one of my favorite solo Jack records to date. Truth be told it is a bit short, clocking under 40 minutes but I just want more Jack.

Song of the week goes Queens native young baklava himself Action Bronson with "Subzero". Track is ridiculous.

Also HAVE to mention the new Yung Lean track featuring the phenomenon known as FKA Twigs. Check out this lofi video:

Before I cut out quick shout to all my Muslim clan, we about 1/3 in, you got this.

I'll see you next Sunday.

April is here and so am I. So let’s get he obvious out of the way. Last week's big hype was the final episode for Attack on Titan but all AoT fans got hit with an anime uppercut with the news of “Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3”!?!?!?! I have mixed emotions as I was ready to see how all this ends but apparently they are gonna stretch this out 1 more season? I mean it’s more AoT BUT IDK how much more they can expand as the Manga is over and apparently there is not much source material to pull form do I'm hope for a shorten final season with nothing but anime ACTION. Plus now I have to survive another year just to watch how this ends, thanks MAPPA.

So for those still not convinced here is a small snippet of the quality of the the anime, notice the art, movement, how dynamic it is and the music as well was the sound effects. This video will probably be taken down so watch whilst you can.

Yesterdays actions included New Noize. The New Noize Song of the Week goes to HAAi featuring Obi Franky with "Purple Jelly Disc". It is a Banger.

New Noize album goes to a electronic afro-funk band from London, Ibibio Sound Machine with their new one "Electricity". Did the record come out a 2 weeks ago? Yes, but I got on it a bit late. What can I say, it happens plus you can't tell me what to do. Regardless of what I was this record SLAPS...It's still funny.

OH King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is coming to the Arlington on 4/13. I will be there, you should be. If you are hit me up and I will give you a real life high five after the sun sets. Why? Cause I'm in officially Ramadan mode for the next 4 weeks or so.

Until next Sunday party people.

Hey yo what a week! I saw Cherry Glazerr ,Portugal. The Man & alt-J this past Saturday and it was wonderful to be at the 1st show at the SBbowl.

This week's "Song of the Week" is The Smile "Skirting on the Surface". I will say that the new track off Nigo’s tape "Come On, Let's Go" featuring Tyler, The Creator is going to be the one of the best hip hop songs of 2022. Which actually brings me to...

...This week's "Album of the Week" Nigo "I Know Nigo" This album is jammed with features, freestyle and all sorts of other fuckery, check it.

Also we saw a man slap another man at the Oscars, then 20 minutes later the slapper gets onstage to win an Oscar and then saying some nonsense about being all about love? I just want to shoutout the Japanese TV crew for not cutting and letting us all witness this real moment. No judgment, just damn.

Also this Sunday will mark the end to the GREATEST TV SHOW OF ALL TIME at least in my humble (ok not so humble) opinion. Episode 12 (87 in the total series) of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 is scheduled to release worldwide on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022. I have been waiting for this conclusion for so long I was an actual happy person when this series first premiered back in 2013. Me and my melancholy ass will be glued to the screen to witness how this will all end. WHAT A RIDE! I understand why humans of a certain age don't watch anime but Attack On Titan supersedes any expectations you may have.

Also Also come the end of this week we are officially in Ramadan season so give your Muslim friends a dap and a bit of leeway for the next 30 days or so.

See ya next Sunday.
