WHAT A FRIDAY. So many dang records came out it was truly an onslaught of new music & I for one love to bask in the aftermath. Sunday's New Noize set was truly one of the best of 2022 since there was so much to choose from, which also means that I had to cut a ton. It stressed me out all week, trust that.

Album of the Week could have been anything on the playlist and normally I would only pick 1 BUT since it's my show imma pick 3 Album(s) of the Week.

Father John Misty released "Chloë and the Next 20th Century" and it hits just right. It is not a departure from his sound, but it is different from anything he has released previously yet has a touch of familiarity that is undeniably Josh Tilman. Drink some wine, grab your partner, hold 'em close while you dance in the dark as this spins on your turntable.

Wet Leg FINALLY dropped this highly anticipated self titled release. IT IS AMAZING and will probably be on every music outlet's top 5 best albums of 2022 and for good reason, it rules. This record encompuses everything I love about this sound. It has a sense of self, makes light of all subject matters and they cuss on every track like a teenager from Elizabeth New Jersey.

Jack White is back with "Fear of the Dawn '' This guy out here doing whatever he wants. He released his album on baseball's opening day, played a crazy version of the national anthem on opening day at Comerica Park (Tiger stadium in Detroit, where he is from) then played a show later that night in the D and got married live on stage to Oliva Jean officiated by Ben Swank! The album is all over the place, aggressive AF and just straight up FUN. Fear of the Dawn is one of my favorite solo Jack records to date. Truth be told it is a bit short, clocking under 40 minutes but I just want more Jack.

Song of the week goes Queens native young baklava himself Action Bronson with "Subzero". Track is ridiculous.

Also HAVE to mention the new Yung Lean track featuring the phenomenon known as FKA Twigs. Check out this lofi video:

Before I cut out quick shout to all my Muslim clan, we about 1/3 in, you got this.

I'll see you next Sunday.
