What a week in Santa Barbara! Katy Perry came through with her hometown benefit concert at the SBBowl, Modest Mouse played the Arlington and I saw none of these shows, sad face. I did, however, see Deadpool 2 and I must say that this movie was 10s across the board. I would go as far as to say that Deadpool 2 was better than Avengers Infinity War.

New Noize came through with all 10s this week as well. I was hammered with an overabundance of new music and had to use my magic to condense this playlist down to 2 hours.

Hour 1 started off with the new Protomartyr featuring Kelley Deal (of the motherfuckin Breeders) "Wheel of Fortune" & followed up with some Clutch. Later in hour #1 I spun hometown heroes the Mad Caddies covering Green Days' "She" and got to premiere one of my favorite artist of the last 5 years, Mitski new single "Geyser". Talking about Mitski for a minute, my expectations of her new record is set to very high as she is a force to be felt. I hit some deeper tracks with Potatohead People & Arctic Monkeys.

HOW GOOD IS THE NEW NINE INCH NAILS?!?!?!?! Sounds like Trent Reznor is channeling his inner David Bowie and oh my Atticus Ross these beats are bananas. Man, when those horns kick my face starts to melt. Jungle made it onto the playlist and I am very curious to hear what the rest of the album sounds like. An indescribable sound came from the band known as Black Moth Super Rainbow and they just keep getting stranger with every album and I can't get enough. Lastly, I did hit 2 songs from Japan via Chai and BABYMETAL, both bands you should be up on.

And I'll be all up on you next Sunday.
