Heatwave was upon us here in Southern California and despite being a pretty brutal weekend today its starting to finally cool off. In fact, I was excited to get to my job as we actually have AC cranking.

Besides sweating like a maniac I spent the weekend prepping for New Noize and I must say it was a solid 2 hours of new music. I kicked off the show with new Deafheaven "Canary Yellow" and am really looking forward this full release. I kind of went on a small metal tear in the beginning of the set. I spun some new music from Coheed & Cambria (one of Dave Hanacek  aka the Music Director here at 92.9)  Bullet For My Valentine & Devildriver. I surprised everyone with dropping the new Carters single. Talk about power couple these 2 in the same room on the same record that is actually good is something to behold.

Hour 2 I went beat/intrumental heavy playing tracks from NIN, Don Bellenger, & Quantic y Los Míticos del Ritmo. Who is Quantic y Los Míticos del Ritmo? He makes really interesting remixes of well established music but puts his own Central American flair. Its dope. BOOTS is coming out with new music and you know he jumped at an opportunity to play anything new he comes out with. Boots is best know working with RTJ and a few tracks.
