Back from turkey slaughter day in Florida and it was fantastic. The Ahmed clan was at 100% (which is rare) plus minimal family drama. Something feels off...Anayay back in SB and yes we New Noize'd last night.

Since I missed a few shows this set was packed with a bit of everything.

New Noize song of the week goes to Miso Extra with "2nd Floor" It has this strange offness about it. It is ultra pop with some unique sonic distance that works well backed by her buttery voice. It may be all over the place but you should grab it while you can.

The New Noize Album of the Week was scooped by C'Mon Tigre with "Habitat" This record has a jazz/r&b base foundation but don't peg these humans because this record is truly versatile. Some may say even chaotic. The journey a band makes to figure out their sound is full of discoveries picking up various audio assets and incorporating them into their tool kit. C'Mon Tigre takes this to the next level, some tracks might have you scratching your head pondering if this is the same band you started to listen to. I assure you it is and you should definitely give "Habitat" a chance.

Also seeing Godzilla Minus 1 this Thursday at the smallest IMAX in the US. Yay? Whatever its almost Godzilla time...

It's good to be back in Santa Barbara.
