A week before the big game, New Noize once again showed up to play. This set was diverse but a bit more subtle then all the things that went down this Sunday We had the Grammys, the pro bowl, Last Of Us and I got an air fryer. I know I am late to the air fryer gang but now is my time to make non oven wings and the hype is real. You aren't here for my french fry mastery, you want that New Noize.

Song of the week was difficult as always, so many bangers including Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Rural Alberta Advantage, Lael Neale & Yves Tumor but this Sunday's spotlight belonged to mui zyu with "Ghost with a Peach Skin". I had a listener call in and say "what the fuck is this?" I replied simply with "Its fuckin fantastic" The dial tone respone was a tell tale sign that the caller totally agreed with me.

New Noize album of the week was the highly anticipated Young Father's album "Heavy Heavy". These cats can DO NO WRONG. This album casts a wide net and is all over the place cross blending genres and styles in a uniquely digestible sound that will make you groove but question why you are grooving. This is one of those records that every listen is a bit different and begs you to listen to it in different settings. It fits any emotional obit.

There will be no New Noize next Sunday due to the Super Bowl, maybe...
