Melting on a Monday because it’s summertime.

It was such a busy few days. I saw The Odyssey on Friday(it was as good as people are saying) went to see Young the Giant at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Saturday, and then pulled a nine-hour shift at the station on Sunday, concluding with New Noize.

Another set is in the books, and I managed to hit a nice streak of metal, including an acoustic jam from Amon Amarth.

The New Noize Song of the Week comes from the deluxe rollout of Dry Cleaning’s latest record, Secret Love. They included a few new songs on the deluxe release, including this week’s pick, “Grass.”

Album of the Week was a hard one to pick. Quicksand, Yard Act, and Tricky all released bangers, but Album of the Week belongs to Jack White’s FROZEN CHARLOTTE. Jack doesn’t make bad records, and this one is a bullet packed with all things Mr. White. His guitar work is legendary, and it’s heavily showcased on his latest record.
