Sometimes I look over my Sunday sets for today’s post and am like, "Damn, how did this happen?" Oh hi there. It's 11.11, it's Monday which means its time for another New Noize update.
For clarification about my opening statement, I'm not stressing but this weeks playlist is all over the place. I pride myself on having the most diverse playlist in specialty but this week defiantly takes the cake.
I went pretty heavy on the electronic side of things, with groovy tracks like the Khotin Remix of Guerilla Toss's "Meteorological", to the smoother heavy blip-age of Oval "Paragramm" to the hyper avant garde Moor Mother's "After Images". Clipping released a new track featuring Shabazz Palaces which sounds like it could have been on Clipping's recent horror release There Existed an Addiction to Blood bit that’s pure speculation.
What’s not speculation is FKA twigs new album "MAGDALENE" is the best work she has done so far. Then again when does FKA twigs do anything not at peak levels? I snuck in the new one from BMTH and side note, if you have a PS4 and haven’t played it in a while, go buy "Death Stranding" This is one not to be missed. I also managed to hit that new Midnight Hour and am fortunate enough to see them later this week!
OH and I kicked off the show with King Diamond, which makes this weeks playlist a win for everyone who listened.
Lastly I went to Ostrich Land in Solvang on Saturday. Ostrich are strange animals and i don’t fear birds but this encounter will haunt me for years to come.
