New Noise playlist action coming at ya. This past Sunday was stacked with jam after motherfuckin jam. New Wu Tang featuring Redman? YES PLEASE! According to the RZA this new full length Wu album was constructed my Mathematics, long time DJ for the entire Clan when they tour. This is contradicting RZA previous statements that Ghostface was producing this entire Clan record, unless Tony Starks is working on an additional Wu Tang album. The speculation continues as according to the RZA this album will be out this year, I’m not holding my breath.

Wu-Tang wasn’t the only one to drop new music. I finally got my hands on the full length for Queens of the Stone Age. The jury I out on how I feel about “Villains”, which is on the short side. I will give it a few listens and report my findings in the upcoming weeks. Other full lengths I highly recommend are Cloakroom’s “Time Well” and Zola Jesus’s “Okovi”. 

Oh yeah and Ice Dragons are coming at ya in 2018.

Hey party people, Haaris here. Today may have been the most hyped solar eclipse in the history of dragons eating the sun (I could have made a Norse reference, but I am Asian). Last night I dropped another legendary New Noize playlist like I do every Sunday.

I kicked off the show with new UNKLE and I must say the album itself sounds very cinematic. It also could have even the fact that I listened to the new UNKLE before watching Game of Thrones.

I finally got to play Japanese Breakfast’s “Road Head” and if you haven’t check out the music video, well here it is:

The surprise of the week has to be the new Cloakroom album. I popped it into the home stereo and was blown away. Its pretty fantastic, if you are a fan Jesu, Russian Circles or Boris, definitely  check out Cloakroom.

In other media its gonna be a quite week when it comes to video games. I completed Hellbalde and what a ride! Ninja Theory hit a homer on this gem. Graphics, gameplay, story and the hellish audio (it is a must you play this with a headset) made Hellblade an experience that I will share with anyone willing to listen. I’m gonna be finishing up some of games in my backlog until Absolver comes out next week. Then, dudring the 1st last week of September all things will shut down as DESTINY 2 is finally out! New Noize all up in your business. This weekend reality set in and I am just amazed at whats going on here in the good ol USA. Goating North Korea into a nuclear war and empowered white supremacists in Virginia have me pretty blue, but at least Game of Thrones and New Noize exists. 

Despite the stress of the world events I personally found solace in one of the best gatherings I have been to this year. I’m talking about my music programmer, DJ extraordinaire and one of my great friends Mr Dave Hanacek got hitched this past Saturday. As bummed out as I was with all thats going on, Saturday night showed that when friends and family come together everything else is just noise. I was also seated at the Radiohead table, it was pretty rockstar. Fellow DJs Phat J & Ricky Biggs were in the house and whenever the radio fam hangs power levels exceed 9000. 

Lets talk New Noise. This Sunday I started on the metal side of things and smoothed out as the hour progressed.

At the top of the second hour I dropped some music from the Dead Cells soundtrack, an indie game I DESPERATELY want to be ported onto the PS4 (and the vita LOLz). Currently Dead Cells is available on Steam and from the videos I have watched it looks like a freaking good time. I also circled back to music from Tokyo 42 as this game is finally coming out this Tuesday August 15th on the Playstation. My surprise of the week has to be that full length by the Mosquitos, its like a cool drink on a humid night filled with fire flies and starry night skies, definitely worth a listen. As is everything else on this weeks playlist.
