Happy ALMOST HALLOWEEN! Its been a killer week for shows. I saw:

  • Tool on a Monday

  • Kanye West on a Wednesday

  • Thom Yoke on a Friday

Much like Danny Glover, I'm getting to old for this shit...But I love it so I can stop, won't stop.

So much just dropped or is dropping its a bit overwhelming even for me. I wanted to mention 2 full-lengths right quick.

THEY FINALLY SENT ME THE FULL LENGTH to the Shivas and I was pleasantly surprised, I think this record might fly under the radar for a lot of people which is a shame BUT also so understandable with this tsunami of newness.

No new Queens of the Stone Age news but Josh Homme released volumes 11 & 12 of Desert Sessions. Desert Sessions is a conclave of artists coming together and producing some amazing music. He has been doing this since circa 97 and never disappoints. This season's cast includes:

Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top)
Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint)
Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters)
Mike Kerr (Royal Blood)
Carla Azar (Autolux, Jack White)
Les Claypool (Primus)
Matt Sweeney
Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows, Toast of London)
Libby Grace
Töôrnst Hülpft
****I totally copy and pasted this from a press release, thank you press release****

I know and you're right, the record is bananas.

Happy Halloween. See you next week.

Better late than never?!?!?! Sorry about the super late update, I got a bit behind. The only saving grace is that this past Sunday’s show was one of the best sets I have played in a minute. The reason for this is simple, THERE IS SO MUCH NEW MUSIC OUT. Normally I am compiling my "best of" list but not this year. OH 2019!!!! There is still some time and 2019 is letting it all hang loose until the year is done.

Enjoy the playlist, I may or may not have a show this coming up Sunday.

Another New Noize in the books + special guests in the house.

Lets talk music first. Where is this onslaught of new music coming from? As of this past Friday the new BORIS, Danny Brown, KAZU(this was a few Fridays ago but still applies nerds), DIIV & Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. All of these records could squeeze right into your "best of 2019" lists and I most certainly have my eye on a few of these come the end of the year. KAZU along with her full length "Adult Baby" is producing some really captivating music videos, here's Come Behind Me, So Good!:

Lapalux apparently has a new record coming out and I'm thrilled. Clipping is back and I have the full length. It’s all over the place, I'm just waiting on Sub Pop to give me the OK to bust this open.

So there is a app on the scene for people who are single, but also anyone who wants to make friends or wants to network. It's called "Ticket Mingle" and the way it works is simple. You meet humans who are wanting to go to the same show but do not have a ticket to this show. The catch is that you have to buy the ticket for the show in the APP. This past Sunday founders as well as Jacob Tell from Oniracom (Agency that built out the app) came to talk shop. There is a lot of potential for this app and really looking forward to see how all of this will unfold. It is live but its in its infancy stage, cop it at the IOS store.

See you next Sunday where I will be playing music off one of the most anticipated video games of the past 5 years or so.
