Sometimes you're up. Sometimes you're down.
And if you’re a Knicks fan... you already know. This week’s been brutal. And honestly, if there’s any solace, it’s this: no one’s watching these NBA Finals. I’d put money on this being the lowest-rated Finals in recent memory. But you’re not here for hoop eulogies.

Let’s talk albums.
Way too many dropped this week—and as much as I wanted to dive into all of them, I could only get to a few. That said, these records deserve your ears:

  • The Budos Band – VII

  • Ty Segall – Possession

  • Miynt – Rain Money Dogs

  • Lionmilk – WHEN THE FLOWERS BLOOM

  • Foxwarren – 2

  • yeule – Evangelic Girl is a Gun

  • Aesop Rock – Black Hole Superette

  • Rome Streetz x Conductor Williams – Trainspotting

  • MRCY – Volume 2

  • Obongjayar – Paradise Now

  • Garbage – Let All That We Imagine Be The Light

  • Miley Cyrus – Something Beautiful

  • Matt Berninger – Get Sunk

Every one of those is doing something interesting but there can only be 1 album of the week and that belongs to the Swans with Birthing. Look—I’m not gonna pretend I’m objective here. I love this band. Always have. Birthing is Swans in full form: crawling, building, testing your patience, then rewarding it in ways only they can. Their live show is still the best part of the whole experience—but Birthing is the weight you carry until you can hear it at full volume in a blacked-out room with your ribcage vibrating. People call Swans an “acquired taste.” Those people are wrong. Good music is good music. And Swans make great music.

Wet Leg is back with "CPR"  , a clean, cheeky, deceptively perfect single. And yeah, word is a new record is coming… but I’m not holding my breath. If Nintendo taught us anything, it’s that the more you want it, the longer it takes. And trust—I really want this one.  I also want a Nintendo Switch 2….

…..OK byeeeeeeee.
