Another Sunday in the books and I must say I'm killing it, but enough about what you already know.

Can't get enough of Crumb!!!!! I only have a 3 song sampler/EP thing thing from the label pusher and I gotta get my hands on more. Looking forward to that Father John Misty record, if this new single and video is the theme for his new LP then my expectations are high. And while we are on the subject of being HIGH how HIGH was Ty Segall self titled new album. I think it's his best work yet, and while we are on the subject of kick ass white dudes making music, hour 2 kicked off with Thundercat enlisting Michael McDonald and Santa Barbara local Kenny Loggins on a new track called "Show You the Way”. Pretty sure Thundercat can balance the United States budget, bring peace to the Middle East and create Vegeta’s “Final Flash” attack when he's not making kick as jams. MAD SHOUTOUTS to Stonesthrow, they are bringing some serious heat in Q1 of 2017, so much so I had to give em a block.

Now lets get personal. I have it easy when it comes to being Muslim on SoCal, people are fairly laid back and not to aggressive in my sleepy Shangri-La beach town. Other brothers and sisters don’t have it as good as I do. Don’t get me wrong, Santa Barbara is no cake walk, but at least I’m not in Tampa. Big UPS to all my peeps holding it down for the international fam at JFK, SFO, LAX and all the other international airports where people are taking it to the streets with action.

Remember to follow a dude on Instagram and check out this weeks “Album of the Week”

One last morsel of awesome, the OG G O D Wallaby King Ironman Golden Eagle Pretty Tony che-che-la-ghost, Ghostface Killah is playing a few blocks away from my apt the day before I turn 37, WU TANG!!!!!!!!

The transition of power has happened with zero to no violence as the Moldy Orange sits in the highest office our country has to offer. This is no alternative fact, it’s the truth, whatever thats worth. Despite the despair and the January monsoon that has hit southern California I strapped on my Wu-Tang DC boots and dropped another killer 2 hours of New Noize. Hope you enjoyed it.

FYI I am posting the “Album of the Week” on my Instagram later today, follow me here for a chance to win.

Also quick note to all the wonderful women around the world and here in the USA, way to hold it down for humanity.

Oh hey there. Hows its going? How was the weekend? For some reason I always like Friday the 13th, its aways a precursor to a great weekend and WHAT A WEEK IN FOOTBALL!!! I’m still a bit sore on the G-Men getting blown out by the Packers but MAN it was fun watching A-A-Ron squash the hopes and dreams of the Cowboys.

Lets talk MUSIC! As per the norm, I dropped 2 solid hours of new jamz last night and my my was it a set to behold. Finally got my mitts on the Koreatown Oddity and its one of the best albums of 2017 so far. Talking about Koreatown Oddity can Stones Throw be stopped? Their last few drops have been simply fantastic. If I had more $$$$ I would have totally joined stones throw vinyl subscription for the year, stupid priorities. Oh and did you know there was a new Flaming Lips record? Did you also know its really good and will melt your brain from temple to temple? Give it a listen and let it all sink in.

I will be doing weekly “Album of the Week”. Follow me on instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/haaris_ahmed/ and see who’s up this week. Oh and I will be mailing 1 lucky follower the “Album of the Week”.

And lastly today is Martin Luther King Jr. day. As a son of immigrant parents combined with the current political climate that surrounds Muslims as well as those with Pakistani decent I must give my thanks, praise and respect to Martin Luther King Jr. Without his existence and contributions to American Culture & Civil Rights I would not be here, let alone programing/hosting the greatest 2 hours of radio on the planet. One day in the near future I am sure Dr Kings vision of what ALL of us could be, will be.

Most def BUT 2016 was also a benchmark year in music, I mean artists were dropping straight fire the last week of 2016?!?!?!?!?!. I only had 3 hours to do my thing so this is what happened. Let me know what you think, hit me back!

2017 lets do this...
