HAPPY POST FATHERS DAY!!!! Yes I know this playlist is 24 hours late, but I have a really good excuse this time which I will get to later. RIP Prodigy from the infamous Mobb Deep, too young to go but damn sun he left us some fire before he departed from this realm. Now let’s talk New Noize!!!!!!

It was a pretty good mix of just about everything shy of some hip-hop. Stand outs from this past weekends show came from longtime favorites including Deer Tick, Lee Ranaldo, Death From Above (minus the 1979) Moby, Chelsea Wolfe and of course Queens of the motherf*ckin Stone Age. Looking forward to that new QOFSTA album, you and I know its gonna be bananas.

Got the new single for Dead Cross and its really aggressive along with the new Goatwhore. I also got to bust open the new Com Truise record and its sooooooo tasty. AGAIN looking forward to Tokyo 42 to drop on the Playstation mid July and had to dig out another track on this fantastic soundtrack.

I have to apologize for my delays/non-responsiveness with industry folk out there for the past few weeks. It is not due to Ramadan although I am looking forward to the weekend when the fasting is over. My 11 inch 12 year old Alienware finally started to get into the last days of it’d life. I will always have a place for her in my heart as well as my command center but its over between us. The new chick in town is a badass 2017 MacBook Pro! Opting to dump my PC lifestyle for the past 37 years was a difficult decision to make as well as an EXPENSIVE one but its all for the best. Which brings me to my BIG NEWS!!!!!!

On July 6the your boy will be djing for 1st Thursday’s here in Santa Barbara. The new dj set up will be in full effect as I deliver all sorts of audio madness for the passers by. If you are in town on 7/6 swing by and gimme a high five. If you want to be extra dope share this event on your social networks, here is the link: http://www.downtownsb.org/events/1st-thursday/performances

I am pretty psyched for my gig should be a banger.

Last thing, this coming up Sunday there will be no New Noize cause its EID TIME!!!!!

What a week, I mean the hits just keep on coming. This past Saturday was the KJEE Summer Round Up and it was a BLAST. The whole KJEE crew was in full force along with Soul Majestic, Judah and the Lion Bishop Briggs (who I got to Intro in front of thousands of people) and Empire of the Sun. Once I get my pictures all touched up I will post a few here on the blog roll. Funny story, the morning of the round up was the 1st day I actually missed getting up before sunrise so I missed my pre dawn meal. Needless to say it was rough until the sunset in SB, but when it did I got my grub on. The Santa Barbara Bowl is known for many things, and their food selection should defniatly be one of them. Oh for those of you not in the know Im Muslim and its Ramadan.

Above you can see that I rocked the F**k out of Sunday's New Noize. I went REALLY HEAVY on the indie rock and had to hit another track from my man Beat Vince (taken from the Tokyo 42 soundtrack) in honor of e3.

Talking about e3, OMA DID YOU SEE WHAT SONY DID? Playstation laid down the might gauntlet on some game reveals. Again I'll have more after I have digested all this content.

I have some news but can't officially reveal what its about BUT what I can say is there will be a live set in my future and if you are in the SB area the 1st week of July then you can witness what I'll be doing.

I have said too much...

Pretty good set up there right? There were was way too much to play in a span of 2 hours. As per the norm I had to cut a bunch of dopeness to squeeze what I did in a span of 2 hours.

Keeping on with my movement to highlight indie game music I got in contact with the good people at Tokyo 42, a new indie game out on steam & x-box and is coming to the PS4 in mid-July. An artist known as Beat Vince is responsible for this supremely sublime soundtrack. Not only is the music bananas good the game looks pretty amazing itself. If you missed the set no worries I will be spinning Beat Vince at least 1 more time (and more, you will have to tune in).

Talking videogame music I dropped some new Igorrr and the track that I spun was  a cross of lo-fi 8-bit chiptune and aggressive metal. All that means is I like it, A-LOT.

Another standout was Guerilla Toss on LCD Soundsystem's label DFA. This full length is "out of this world" Check my instagram feed and you will get it.

I kicked off the New Noize with some artists that are always on heavy rotation at 92.9 KJEE, but theses specific songs I assure you are, yet....

SIDE BAR Saturday night I attended Ali Wong at the Granada and hot damn that was one hell of a comedy show. She killed it and had me rolling throughout her standup. She talks alot about her vagina, it was parts insightful, intriguing, horrifying and hilarious.  Both my face and my stomach hurt and its all her fault. FYI she is not pregnant anymore but I couldn't find any gifs where she wasn't prego.

Until next Sunday

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!!!! To all that defended this country a big ups and thank you. We take pause to remember all the fallen patriots out there for letting us have the freedoms we have.

New Noize took a small break 2 Sundays ago and is back this past Sunday for an "OVER THE TOP" radio set. I had 2 weeks worth of new music to cram into 2 hours which made it extra hard to pick selections for this past New Noize. I busted open full lengths and dove deep on Omar Souleyman, Dustin Wong & Takako Minekawa, Big Walnuts Yonder, Mutoid Man, Girl Pool, '68 & Chastity Belt. AGAIN I have said this before and I must say this again, this Eyedress record has latched on to me like a face-hugger from Aliens and I am excited to see what pops out of my chest. Also threw in some singles by Danger Mouse (featuring Run the Jewels & Big Boi, SAY WHAT!!!!), Save Ferris & Shabazz Palaces (sub pop mart opened another single and instead of waiting for the label to send me the clean version I edited it myself, cause you know the people need to hear Shabazz Palaces)

In concert going news I FINALLY got to see NJ's own Ho99o9 down in LA at the Echo and they did not disappoint. I think my neck is still bruised up from the pit. Ok that is a lie, LA mosh pits are pretty tame. I did take some rad videos that I threw up on the gram, so follow me if you haven't already.

Lastly...SHOUTOUTS! To all my Muslim brothers and sisters out there, it's Ramadan and with all that's going on out there in the world be safe while you observe the most holy of months. I am no model Muslim. I would even go as far to say as I am a the worst, but I do observe Ramadan when it comes around. If you aren't a Muslim but know a few, be extra nice to em and DON'T offer to take them to lunch. Which by the way happens way too much to me at during Ramadan. It's like, "Hey Haaris I never say lets go to lunch but for the next 30 days I am going to ask you over and over and over. Dang it Im going off on tangents again, anyways enjoy the playlist and I will be back next week with more new content.
