Hi all. Normally this place is for "fun" content. The majority of people that come to my site are either industry professionals, friends, family, some locals and a few fans. My normal spiel consists of my New Noize playlist, some fun talking points to hype and highlight artists on the New Noize playlist, and to inform the public off all things New Noize related. I pack in some humor, a collage of gifs and other content related to some other interests like sneakers, video games, food, movies, anime and anything Game of Thrones related. This week is different.

Santa Barbara area was ravaged by fires late last year. Over the past week or so it rained and with the downpour came and avalanche of mud which destroyed everything in its path. Lives have been lost, property has been obliterated, roads (including the 101) have been shut down, people cant get to and from work, kids cant get to school, Buisness have lost revenue and people are still missing. It felt wrong this week to do my normal song and dance here so instead I want to reflect.

I will say through all this darkness there has been an outpouring of humanity showing its best. Our community has once again come together in the face of this adversity and is dealing with it head on. Neighbors helping neighbors. People putting aside their differences and uplifting each other regardless of class, color or creed. In a world so divided its is amazing to see people come together when it really counts.

Happy Martin Luther King JR day.  See you next week.
