I work a lot. Like, a lot. This weekend? Covered Saturday and Sunday shifts before the reggae soundclash, and then it was right back to the station for New Noize. I was getting blown up left and right with calls, "Yo, you're on the radio!"—people aren't used to hearing my voice during daylight hours. I get it.

Big news though—I FINALLY BEAT BLACK MYTH: WU KONG! Between that, FFVII Rebirth, and Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, I don’t even know how to pick my Game of the Year. But I do know what my New Noize pick of the week is.

Single of the week? Flying Lotus, “Ingo Swann.” Could this be the FlyLo October surprise we’ve been waiting for? Stay tuned.

Album of the week? Blood Incantation’s Absolute Elsewhere. And before you @ me, yes, I know it dropped two weeks ago, but I didn’t spin it till now. If you’re looking for something more fresh, Chat Pile’s new one Cool World just dropped and demands your attention. Do yourself a favor and blast both of these albums at full volume. You can thank me later.

Also, this past Sunday was Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s birthday. Gone since '97, but not before my parents took me to see him live a few times. Long story short, Real World Studios unearthed a few crispy recordings from 1990 and pressed them into a four-song EP. Let's be real though—when an EP clocks over 40 minutes, it’s basically an LP. Chain of Light is incredible, whether you're a longtime fan or have no clue what I’m talking about. Major shout out to Peter Gabriel and Real World Records for putting it out.

And last but not least: LET'S GO YANKEES!
